D. Larry Crumbley, CPA, Cr.FA, CFSA earned his M.Sc. in 1965, his Ph.D. in 1967 (Louisiana State University), and achieved his CPA in 1970 (State of North Carolina). He was appointed Assistant Professor at Pennsylvania State University in 1967 and Associate Professor at University of Florida in 1970. In 1975 he was appointed the Shelton Taxation Professor at Texas A&M. Professor Crumbley was appointed the KPMG Professor of Accounting at Louisiana State University in 1996. He has also served as Faculty Resident at such firms as Laventhol & Horwath and Arthur Andersen & Co. |
Professor Crumbley has written more than 300 professional articles and has authored over 45 books, including Forensic and Investigative Accounting (CCH, 2003). He has been the Editor of the Oil, Gas & Energy Quarterly for 26 years. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of CPA's; and has served in numerous organizational capacities within these organizations. He has been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Forensic Accounting: Auditing, Fraud & Risk since 1999.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
Professor Crumbley is interested in tennis, scuba diving, traveling, and writing. He has helped popularize forensic accounting through his 12 educational novels, many of which have a forensic accountant as the major character. Professor Crumbley devotes considerable time to the development of innovative teaching methodologies. He resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
